Leak Detection in Southern River

One suburb, more than one era

This is what makes Southern River different to work in.

Harrisdale and Piara Waters went up inside a fairly narrow window. Southern River did not. Development here has run across roughly two decades, so a street laid out in the early two-thousands and a street finished years later can be a few minutes apart, and they behave completely differently behind the meter box.

The older parts are far enough along that the original fittings have started to turn over. Blocks here run larger through parts of the suburb than they do in the newest estates, and that means a longer buried run between the front-boundary meter and the house. How we find it

From the meter inwards, by elimination.

With everything shut off, the meter should be still. If it is not, the speed tells us roughly how much you are losing. Isolating sections one at a time tells us which part of the property it is coming from. Acoustic gear then pinpoints it, because water escaping a pressurised pipe makes a noise that carries through the ground where you would hear nothing standing on top of it.
